…If he does, I will find it hard not to laugh.

My birthday was last month and I received a few interestingly titled books. Well I grabbed one of these books today as I headed to my local mechanic to get some service done on my truck. I chose “At the Mercy of the Sea: the true story of three sailors in a Caribbean Hurricane” by [...]

I am pursuing a MA in history focusing on an aspect of transportation. Consequently, I am always excited to find something about kayaking. Sean Smith gets the credit of making me aware of this video.

The last few weeks I have been working with a guest that wanted to learn how to roll their kayak. It is always interesting to learn why someone wants to learn this skill. And it got me thinking on my own evolution as a kayaker into a paddling coach.

I find it interesting how companies are promoting the healthy lifestyle of kayaking to promote the purchase of a different type of product.
How does kayaking sell people on the idea on wearing a Medical Alert Bracelet? Well this video makes me think…

I am adding fuel to the fire of debate with this post.
Greenland paddlers like to say we “qajaq”. We sometimes wear a tulik that make us look like a talking seal. The paddle we use looks like a thin-down two by four piece of lumber. We prefer to play between the edge of where air [...]

Unfortunately as the title alludes to this is an uncomfortable post for many people. If you are not a local to Clearwater Florida then you did not hear of what happened to an Atlantic bottle-nose dolphin named Dunham this past Tuesday.
